Scalettapass

Adventure along the mule track to Scaletta Pass

Scaletta Pass (Scalettapass) is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.606m (8,550ft) above the sea level, located in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland.

Nestled in the Albula Range of the Alps, within the beautiful Dischmatal valley, the road to the summit is a mule track closed to vehicles. Bikes only. It’s totally unpaved, very narrow and steep. Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season.

The pass hosts a wooden mountain refuge built in 1727. The area features a high risk of avalanches. Always check the weather forecast before you start your journey: adverse conditions are common.
