Once at the lake the road continues for four more easy kms to Lac de Châteaupré, another high mountain reservoir at an elevation of 2.357m (7,732ft) above the sea level. This road is usually open from end of June to the first big snowfall, but can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. Road closures can be frequent, so check conditions before traveling to this area.
