Barratge de Romedo de Baix

Barratge de Romedo de Baix is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 2.018m (6,620ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, in north-eastern Spain, near the French border.

Located in the Pyrenees mountain range, the road to the glacial lake is unpaved. Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. 4x4 vehicles only. Along the way you can enjoy a high mountain environment typical of the Pyrenees area. The road is very narrow, with severe drops. It’s pretty scary. Starting from Tavascan, a small village, the road is 16.8 km long.
