Puerto de las Estacas de Trueba
Puerto de las Estacas de Trueba is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.157m (3,795ft) above the sea level, located on the border of the autonomous communities of Cantabria and Castile and Leon, in northern Spain.

Located in the Cantabrian Mountains, the road to the pass is asphalted in very bad conditions. Drive with care as this is a mountain road with dangerous dropoffs. From the pass you have a splendid view north. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad.
There are 2 routes to reach the summit. Starting from Vega de Pas, the road is called CA-631. The ascent is 14.1 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 807 meters. The average gradient is 5.72%. And starting from Espinosa de los Monteros, the road is called BU-570. The ascent is 16.9 long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 397 meters. The average gradient is 2.34%.
