El Filo
El Filo is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.347m (7,700ft) above the sea level, located in Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain. It’s one of the highest roads of Spain.
The road to the summit, located within the Corona Forestal Natural Park, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s totally closed to private vehicles with a barrier but it’s in good conditions. Weather conditions can change quickly and be harsh. 4x4 vehicle required. The wind is usually quite strong at mountain areas. High winds blow here all year long.
