Puerto Collado

Puerto Collado is a mountain pass at an elevation of 914m (2,998ft) above the sea level, located in the comarca of Axarquía, and province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain.

The road to the summit, located in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. Great trail for experienced wheelers. 4x4 vehicle required. At the summit there’s a bar. . Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. Expect a trail pretty steep. Starting from A-7207 road, in Cómpeta, the ascent is 3.3 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 264 meters. The average gradient is 8%.
