Port de Filià is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.404m (7,887ft) above sea level, located in the province of Lleida, in Spain. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.

The peak is located in the autonomous community of Catalonia, in the northeastern part of the country.

Is the road to Port de Filià unpaved?

The road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s called Camí de Filià. The final part is a chairlift access trail for the abandoned Vallfosca Interllacs Esquí Resort. It comprises 20 sharp hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is required.

How long is the road to Port de Filià?

Starting from Cabdella, the road to the summit is 11km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1079 m and the average gradient is 9.80%.

Is the road to Port de Filià open year-round?

Set high in Vall Fosca valley, the road is not plowed in winters.
