Trapa Refuge

Refugio de la Trapa is a high mountain hut at an elevation of 1.739m (5,705ft) above the sea level, located in Spain, in the north of Huesca province, in Aragon.

Located in the Pyrenees mountains, the road to the summit is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s called Pista de Collarada or Camino Viejo de Collarada. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). 4x4 vehicle required. To drive the track you need to seek a permit. Expect a trail pretty steep. Starting from Villanúa the ascent is 13.8 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 783 meters. The average gradient is 5.67%.
