The Wild Road to Tuc de la Llança
Tuc de la Llança is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.503m (8,211ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Lleida, autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located in the Spanish Pyrenees, is totally unpaved. It’s a chairlift access trail on the Vaqueira-Beret resort. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point.
4x4 vehicle required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. The summit offers panoramic views of the Pyrenees and spot peaks such as Maladeta or Pico Aneto, with more than 3,000 meters of high.
