Puerto de Malagosto
Puerto de Malagosto is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.931m (6,335ft) above the sea level, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama (mountain range of the Central System), on the edge of the Spanish provinces of Madrid and Segovia, in the central part of the country.
The road to the summit, also known as Puerto de Malangosto, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. The pass links the towns of Rascafría, Oteruelo del Valle, Alameda del Valle (Madrid) and Torre Caballeros, Sotosalbos y La Granaja de San Ildefonso (Segovia).
