
The road to Aramón Formigal with 10% ramps
Aramón Formigal is a ski resort at an elevation of 1.790m (5,872ft) above the sea level located in the province of Huesca, in Aragon, northeastern Spain.
Nestled in the Pyrenees mountain range, it is said to be one of the most iconic ascents of the Aragón Pyrenees. The road to the summit is totally paved in very good conditions. It’s called A-136 and runs from Biescas to the French border.
The climb has been featured in Spanish Vuelta race. Its slopes are gentle. Starting from Escarilla, the ascent is 9.4 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 411 meters. The average percentage is 4.3 % and the maximum slope is 10 %.
