The pass is located in the autonomous community of Catalonia, in the northeastern part of the country. Near the summit there’s a parking lot and a mountain refuge known as Refugi de Corral Blanc.

The road to the summit is fully paved though pretty steep, curvy and with sections up to 10.2%. The climb has been featured in the Catalonia Volta race.
