
Collado El Gavilán, a steep paved road to the summit
Collado El Gavilán is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.517m (4,977ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Teruel, Aragon, Spain.
Located within the Sierra de Javalambre mountain range, the road to the summit is called TE-V-6006. It’s paved, with some steep sections, up to 10.7%.
The pass is 16.6 km long, running west-east from Camarena de la Sierra to La Puebla de Valverde. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad.
