Estany de Sallente

Estany de Sallente is a high mountain reservoir at an elevation of 1.765m (5,790ft) above the sea level, located in La Vall Fosca, in Lleida, Spain.

The mountain road to the summit is asphalted. It was built in 1981 and includes some steep sections (up to 13.6%). Starting from Cabdella, at 1.300m above the sea level, the ascent is 4.5km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 465m. The average percentage is 10%. At the summit there’s a cable car which gives you the opportunity to experience the adventure of getting to the only National park in Catalonia –Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici–, 2,200 metres above sea level.
