A brutal road (20%) to Navapelegrín

Navapelegrín is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.710m (5,610ft) above the sea level, located in the Province of Segovia, in the Castilla-La Mancha Autonomous region of central Spain.

The road to the summit is paved, with some concrete sections. It’s pretty narrow. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad. 

The road is brutally steep. Starting from La Pradera de Navalhorno, the ascent is 6.8km long. The average gradient is 7.5 per cent. The hardest part of the climb features an average of 12 per cent and maximum gradient of 20 per cent.
