Puerto de Vegarada-Riopinos
Puerto de Vegarada-Riopinos is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.658m (5,439ft) above the sea level, located in the province of León, Castile and León, Spain.
The road to the summit is asphalted but includes some really steep sections (up to 13.3%). It is subject to winter snowfalls with such a high summit altitude, and the road can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. There are sheer drops virtually along the entire route and enough hairpins to make a whirling dervish dizzy. The road is a delight to drive, with every kind of twist and turn. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness.
