Collado del Puerto
Collado del Puerto is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.205m (7,234ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Granada, in the region of Andalucia, southern Spain. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, is unpaved. Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. 4x4 vehicle recommended. Starting from Lanteira, a small town, the ascent is 9.5 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 431 meters. The average gradient is 4.53%.
