Road LE-CV-192/21
Carretera LE-CV-192/21 is a very scenic high mountain road located in the province of León, Castile and León, in northwestern Spain.
The road is asphalted in pretty bad conditions and very steep, with sections up to 15%. It’s 38.8 km long and links the villages of Salas de los Barrios (LE-5228 Road) and Corporales (LE-191-19 Road).
It has a well-deserved reputation for being dangerous because of unpredictable snowstorms and blizzards, and driving under these conditions, can be extremely challenging. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad. It has been featured in the Spanish Vuelta race.The road tops out at 1.957m (6,420ft) above the sea level and climbs up several mountain passes.
