The road to the shelter, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, is unpaved. 4x4 vehicle required. Along the way you can enjoy magnificent views to the snowy peaks of Mulhacén and Veleta. Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. Located in the Cabecera del rio Nacimiento, this basic mountain cabin, also known as Refugio de El Roble, provides shelter against the elements.
