Refugi Claus
Refugi Claus is a high mountain refuge at an elevation of 2.031m (6,663ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Girona, Catalonia, in north-eastern Spain, near the French border.
Located in the eastern region of the Pyrenees mountain range, the road to the hut is unpaved. It’s called Camí de Fontlletera (GIV-5265). The track is 28.9 km long and links the villages of Ribes de Freser and Tregurà de Dalt.
Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. SUV or all-road vehicles recommended. Along the way you can enjoy a high mountain environment typical of the Pyrenees area.
