The pass is located east of Bergen, in the southern part of the country.

The road to the summit is totally paved, but narrow (impassable for two medium cars at the same time) and pretty steep, with sections up to 16.0%. This route features many hairpin turns, so it’s not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness.
