Located in Flakstadøya, an island in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway, Fv805 is one of the best coastal drives in the world.
The road is 5.4km long following the Norwegian Sea shore. The track is mostly asphalted (with a couple of km of gravel) and it links the small towns of Napp and Myrland. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice. It has a well-deserved reputation for being dangerous because of unpredictable snowstorms and blizzards, and driving under these conditions, can be extremely challenging.
