
Strada delle Farfalle, a wild road in Sardinia
Strada delle Farfalle is a mountain road located in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia. Located in the Limbara mountain range, the road is pretty rough in parts.
It’s 12.1 km long. It runs south-north linking the villages of Berchidda and Vallicciola. It can be a reasonably easy drive in favourable dry conditions, but also has the potential to be a very difficult muddy and slippery track -and at times impassable- after wet weather. The highest elevation of the road is 1.094m (3,589ft) above the sea level. High risk of rock slides.
