Colle di Sant'Anna di Vinadio
Colle di Sant'Anna di Vinadio is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.301m (7,549ft) above the sea level, located in the Maritime Alps, on the French-Italian border.
The road to the summit, also known as Pas de Saint-Anne, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Itinerary very frequented by the excursionists, to avoid the days of greater overcrowding.
It’s an old military road. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. The road is extremely narrow, impassable for 2 cars at the same time. At the pass, a gravel minor road (such a footbridge) goes on to Col du Lausfer-Passo di Lausfer, at 2.430m (7,972ft) above the sea level.
