Laghi di Cedèc is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 2.833m (9,294ft) above the sea level, located in the northern Italian province of Sondrio. It's one of the highest roads in Europe.
The road to the summit, located within the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, is unpaved and totally impassable in winters. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 vehicle required. The road is open only to authorized vehicles.
It’s one of the highest roads of the country. The road is very steep. The wind is usually quite strong at mountain areas. High winds blow here all year long. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. The surface of the road is really bad for 1.4km past the Rifugio Pizzini, at 2.706m (8,877ft) above the sea level. The road is open only to authorized vehicles.
