Cresta Sobretta is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.901m (9,517ft) above the sea level, located in the northern Italian province of Sondrio. It's one of the highest roads of Europe.
The road to the summit, located within the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, is totally unpaved. It’s a trail to access a charlift, impassable in winters. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. It's one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit is very steep. Starting from Strada Provinciale 29, the ascent is 5 km (3.10 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 748 meters. The average gradient is 14.96%.
