
Lago del Chiotas
Lago del Chiotas is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.978m (6,490ft) above the sea level, located in the Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy.
The road to the lake is asphalted but pretty narrow and steep. The climb is 5.2km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 442m and the average percentage is 8,5%. In many places the road is bordered by a drop of hundreds of meters (many hundreds of feet) unprotected by guardrails. The last 5.2km are closed to vehicles. To reach the lake there’s a very dark 1.1km long tunnel.
