A delightful yet challenging road to Monte Bondone

Monte Bondone is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.654m (5,426ft) above the sea level, located in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in Italy. The climb is pretty steep, with sections up to 13%.

The road to the summit, located within the Alps, is totally paved It’s called Strada Provinciale 85 (SP85). It’s pretty steep and features more than 40 hairpin turns.

Starting from Trento, the ascent is 21.5 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.463 meters. The average percentage is 6.8 %. And starting from Lasino, the ascent is 23.7 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.203 meters. The average percentage is 5.1 % but the maximum slope is 13 %.
