Monte Penegal

Monte Penegal is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.737m (5,698ft) above the sea level, located in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.

The road to the summit is asphalted. It’s pretty steep and narrow. Starting from Passo della Mendola, the ascent is 3.9 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 358 meters. The average percentage is 9.2 %.

At the summit there’s a hotel, an observation tower and a TV tower. The summit provides a panoramic view of the Valle dell’Adige and the Dolomites or the Lagorai mountain ridge behind the Regglberg.
