Marinelli Refuge

Rifugio Marinelli (aka Forcella Morareto) is a high mountain refuge at an elevation of 2.169m (7,116ft) above the sea level, located in the Carnic Alps, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy.

Starting from Collina, the first 2km are asphalted to Rifugio Tolazzi. After this hut, the road continues as a dirt track, but in fair conditions. The road is gravel, steep, very narrow, and subject to landslides. The road is an old military road, pretty steep. The average gradient is 10,4% but there are sections up to 17%. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting).
