A curvy paved road to Lago di Morasco
Lago di Morasco is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.794m (5,885ft) above the sea level, located in Alta Val Formazza, in Piedmont, Italy.
The road to the top is totally paved but pretty narrow. It is called Strada Statale 659 (SS659). There’s a parking lot and a refuge at the end of the road. Risk of rock slides.
The road is pretty steep. Starting from Formazza, the ascent is 9.2 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 509 meters. The average percentage is 5.53 %.
