A narrow paved road to Colle Melosa

Colle Melosa is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.540m (5,052ft) above the sea level, located in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, near the French border.

Located within the Parco Naturale Regionale delle Alpi Liguri, the road to the summit is totally paved. It’s called Strada Provinciale 67. It’s a curvy road. The road can be accessed year round but may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad. The pass is 28.1 km (17.46 miles) long, running from Colle Langan, on the SP65 road, towards Realdo.

The climb is steep, hitting an 11.0% of gradient through some of the ramps. Starting from Colle Langan, the ascent is 6.6 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 393 meters. The average percentage is 6 %.
