Driving through the curvy SP11 road
Strada Provinziale 11 (SP11) is a short mountain road located in Trentino, in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.
The road is 10,4km long and features 11 hairpin bends. It runs south-north from Levico Terme (a municipality at an elevation of 520 m (1,710 ft) above the sea level) towards Vetriolo Terme (a lovely green oasis with arsenical-ferruginous thermal water springs, which have made the spas in the upper part of Valsugana famous worldwide, at an elevation of 1,381m above the sea level).
The road is very curvy and steep. It’s not easy. Starting from Levico Terme, the road is 10,4 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 867 meters. The average percentage is 8.3 %.
