Oddsskardsgong

Oddsskardsgong is a mountain tunnel at an elevation of 631m (2,070ft) above the sea level, located in eastern Iceland.

It’s a claustrophobic 630-metre long single-track tunnel (with two passing places inside). The road is asphalted with scenic views. It’s located on route 92 in the East Fjords of Iceland, connecting Neskaupstaður and Eskifjörður. Driving at night, or in poor visibility, is not recommended for drivers unfamiliar with the road. The tunnel bypassed a mountain gravel road, which was closed often due the snow. Maximum height is 4.0m. Speed limit is 50km/h.
