Fjarðarheiði, a scenic paved road in Iceland

Fjarðarheiði is a mountain pass at an elevation of 620m (2,034ft) above the sea level, located in the Eastern Region of Iceland.

The road to the summit is asphalted and very scenic. It’s called Route 93 and links Egilsstaðir and Seyðisfjörður. The road is pretty steep. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice.
