Divarata-Komitata Road

The road is winding, steep, and narrow in parts, but very scenic, with stunning views of white-sand beaches surrounded by sheer limestone cliffs. The road has some bends, gradients and drop offs to one side or the other. The journey offers an exhilarating driving experience, with superb views. Take your time, stop often for the views and enjoy.

The picturesque road is 12.7 km long, and runs between the coastal villages of Divarata and Komitata, where part of the film "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" was shot in 2000. Be careful about rockfalls or passing goats. The road does get busier at weekends and in the main holiday season. The road has excellent barriers all along. The surface of the road is decent enough and uncrowded.
