Sarantena

Sarantena is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.811m (5,941ft) above the sea level, located in the regional unit of Evrytania, in central Greece. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.

The road to the summit is gravel. 4x4 vehicle recommended. The road is very exposed. It’s narrow with some steep parts. At the summit there’s a monument commemorating a battle. The pass links the villages of Stavli and Gardiki. It is an area with rather difficult access and that’s why it’s mostly undiscovered by a lot of people.
