The road was constructed in the 1950s and offers an exhilarating driving experience, with superb views running along the beautiful Attica Riviera. It becomes busier during the summer. It’s an unforgettable road trip. This is definitely one road trip that you want to record with lots of photographs. It has some dangerous curves, and accidents happen frequently. The journey allows to explore the coastline in search of a perfect beach.

The exciting coastal road is 73.9 km long, and runs from the center of Athens, the capital of the country and Sounio, a coastal village in East Attica on the coast of the Attica peninsula. It’s totally asphalted. The road is a delight to drive, with every kind of twist and turn. It is well worth stopping off at some of the charming little villages along the way.
