Ultimate 4wd destination: Athamanika
Athamanika is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.142m (7,027ft) above the sea level, located in the Arta regional unit, Epirus, Greece. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located within the National Park of Tzoumerka, Peristeri and Arachthos Gorge, is totally unpaved. 4x4 vehicle recommended. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road.
