The road is fully paved. It’s 25.2 km (16.65 miles) long, running east-west from the village of Leptokarya (Pieria regional unit) towards Karya (Larissa regional unit). Expect a road full of hairpins (more than 30), without protections and dangerous drops, and very steep, hitting a 19.9% maximum gradient through some of the ramps.

What’s the Livethra Magnetic Field Gravity Hill?

The road tops out at 1,002 m (3,287 ft) above sea level. The area is famous for being a gravity hill known as Livethra "Magnetic Field" Gravity Hill. This point stirs the curiosity and imagination of visitors, as cars and even people appear to roll uphill against the force of gravity. The best times to visit are early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the sunlight enhances the visual effects of the hill.
