
Aspropirgos Road
Aspropirgos is a high mountain town at an elevation of 880m (2,887ft) above the sea level located in Evrytania, in central Greece.
The road to the town is paved, but very steep, with an average gradient of 9%. This is a high mountain road starting from the challenging Prousos-Karpenisi road. Drive with care as this is a mountain road with hairpin curves and dangerous dropoffs. You might want to take this into consideration if you have passengers that don't like heights.
Be prepared, this road is not for the faint of heart or ill prepared. One mistake can have serious consequences. This road tests the skill, and courage, of any driver. It’s definitely not for anyone suffering from vertigo or a fear of landslides. The road is very steep, with sections up to 15%. The road climbs up to 1.090m (3,576ft) above the sea level.
