23 hairpin turns on the road from Paos to Kontovazaina

Located in Arcadia, in the central part of the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece, this is a dangerous winding mountain road, very steep, with some sections up to 12%.

The road links the towns of Paos and Kontovazaina. It’s 13.1km long. It’s asphalted but narrow, with 23 hairpin turns, fog, puddles, potholes and cliffs without safety barriers. This road gets very slippery after rains. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Don’t stuff your belly too much. Eventually, you might feel vomiting temptations.

The road is asphalted in pretty bad conditions. Its highest elevation is at 1.157m (3,795ft) above the sea level, in Afrodisia Mountain. Drive with care as this is a mountain road with dangerous dropoffs. It’s very steep, with some sections up to 12%.
