A steep paved road to Berghaus Schwaben
Berghaus Schwaben is a high mountain hut at an elevation of 1.517m (4,977ft) above the sea level, located in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria in Germany.
The road to the summit, located within the Allgäu Alps, is paved but pretty narrow and steep. Open to traffic throughout the year, the road may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad.
Starting from Bolsterlang, the ascent is 5 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 629 meters. The average gradient is 12,58%.
