
Lac du Lou
Lac du Lou is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 2.059m (6,755ft) above the sea level, in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.
Located within the Vanoise National Park, the road to the lake is gravel. 4x4 vehicle recommended. Starting from D117 road, the drive is 3.6 km long. The road is usually impassable from October to June. At the summit there’s a parking lot and a mountain refuge called Refuge du lac du Lou.
