
Les Tourniquets d'Astoin
Les Tourniquets d'Astoin is the name of the sharply winding and precipitous ascent in a steep and narrow zig-zag road in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in southeastern France.
It is a serie of 6 steep hairpin turns climbing up to 1.084m (3,556ft) above the sea level, on the asphalted D1 road. It’s also known as Les Six Tournants.
The section is 550 m long on the way from the villages of Bayons to Astoin. It is famous for a stage of the Monte Carlo Rally.
