Hospice de Rioumajou

Hospice de Rioumajou is a high mountain refuge&restaurant at an elevation of 1.559m (5,114ft) above the sea level, located in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the Occitanie region of France.

Located within the Rioumajou Valley, the road to the hospice is called D19. It’s mostly asphalted, with a gravel part near the end. The hospice is open every day in July and August from 11 am to 5 pm. Starting from Tramezaïgues the ascent is 12.1 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 592 meters. The average gradient is 4.89%, with some sections up to 7.6%.
