Located at the foot of the Monte Renosu, in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica, the Ghisoni ski resort sits at an elevation of 1.672m (5,485ft) above the sea level.
The road to the ski resort is asphalted. It’s called D169. The road is not easy, though. Up, down, right, left all the time. It’s an exquisite winding mountain drive with sharp and blind curves and hairpin switchbacks leading the traveler over the mountains. The road is pretty steep with 20 hairpin turns. Starting from D69 road, at 804m above the sea level, the ascent is 14.2 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 868 meters. The average gradient is 6.11%.
