Road D914

The D914 road, also known as Route d’Espagne, is a very scenic drive through the Côte Vermeille, in south west France.

The surface of the road is asphalted. This is an exquisite winding coastal drive with sharp and blind curves and hairpin switchbacks. It’s 19.9 km long and links Port-Vendres, a town in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France and the Spanish border.

The road can be closed anytime due to extreme winds. The drive is definitely worth it. A drive not to be missed! The road climbs up to Coll de les Fresses (at 105m asl) and Coll dels Belitres (at 166m asl).
