The glacier is located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the south-eastern part of the country, within the Réserve Naturelle des Hauts de Villaroger. On a good day, you will have a 360-degree view of the Alps as far as your eyes can see.

The road to the glacier is totally unpaved. It’s a service road for a chairlift. It’s very curvy, narrow in parts, and extremely steep. 4x4 vehicles only. It’s closed to private vehicles and impassable from October through June. Avalanches often make the road impassable.
