The pass is located in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the south-western part of the country, near the Spanish border, within the Parc national des Pyrénées.

The road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s a service road for the chairlifts of the ski station. It’s extremely steep and narrow. 4x4 vehicles only.

Starting from Ski Resort Luz Ardiden, the road to the summit is 3.6 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 611 m and the average gradient is 16.97%. 

Is the road to Col de Cloze open year-round?

Set high in the Pyrénées, the road is totally impassable from October to June.
